Whether you can already shred or you’re keen to get involved and try kiting for the first time, our courses and 1:1 tuition programmes have been developed to create a fun, safe and social learning environment for all levels for riders between the ages 12-16.

4 x 1/2 day modules in a 4 students to 1 instructor format
The full course will take students through everything they’ll need to know to become a safe and independent kiterboarder.
Covering the complete syllabus of our benchmark ‘2 day course’ course split up and run in a youth specific style, students will learn all about the kit, kite controls, safety and board starting.

YOUTH 121 COACHING / £65
Our private lessons run 121, are available hourly and focus on the individual skills students want to progress.
Ideal for an after course confidence builder, some support if it’s been a while, or giving focused tips for people struggling to break through a learning hurdle. Teaching 121 we are able to go out of our way to help students get to the level they want to achieve.
YOUTH SUPERVISED SESSION / £45
{ £20 with own equipment }
Once our young riders have reached at least a level 2 on our specific first timers course, they’ll be ready to join a group supervised hire session in a ratio of 6 riders to 1 instructor. For 2 hours, the group will hire their own equipment to get a sense of independence with our careful supervision from a safe distance.
Poseidon YOUTH squad
Rider driven with a passion to see the youth of today walk the steps we once did, we host a young riders club every Thursday evening from 4.30 - 7pm.
Riding focused for like minded 8- 17 year old kiters and wingers who are able to ride upwind independently, we call a weekly session around the weather which will see the groms tearing up different spots under the supervision of our head coach - Chris Burke.
Whether it’s in a photo shoot, a downwinder, a coaching session, or a mini comp, The Poseidon Youth Squad is way to meet up and session with like minded and similar aged riders with a weekly agenda to improve and develop with our support.
Keeping things casual we put out a weekly Thursday evening plan in our Youth Squad whatsapp group {when the weather forecast is good}, Riders just need to book in so we know to expect them.
The cost is £10 per session, £30 with kit hire.
UNDER 12?
We never want to stop a young enthusiast who’s passionate to get into kiting, but the sport does require a certain amount of mental maturity due to the safety and technical considerations. So, having met/discussed learning options with both child and parent, we can tailor a 1:1 program of training from any age.
