A full time position, the operations manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our busy beachside school. Duties include management of staff, the booking diary, the beach, the beach centre, our community beach club and all school equipment. Teaching and lesson support will also be a significant part of the role; a BKSA senior instructor qualification is necessary. The role will also involve aspects of marketing, trip planning, event planning and retail management. The person that’s right for the role is outgoing, positive and forward thinking, with 2 years minimum experience in the industry. Managerial experience will be highly beneficial but is not strictly necessary, as training will be given. The role of operations managers is a full time, year round contract – offered with a variable salary depending on experience. Additional job perks include use of equipment, travel opportunities both abroad and within the UK and a company vehicle.
A full time seasonal position, the admin assistant will be responsible for managing enquiries, taking bookings as well as liaising with customers regarding a range of subjects and requests. Duties include being the main point of contact for Poseidon Kite School, responding to enquiries swiftly, accurately and in a manner that is considered on-brand as well as managing day-to-day bookings and last minute lesson planning in accordance with the weather. A positive presence and attention to detail will be key, as is confidence when delivering information in a friendly and welcoming manner. An interest in the sports we offer is vital, skills in them would also be beneficial. Other duties will include support of beach management, event planning and organising, book keeping and marketing support. Prior experience is preferred.
As a growing school we are looking to keep up with demand for lessons and so are looking for kitesurf instructors to join our tight knit team. Focused on a high standard of training and customer service, passion about the sport and the ability to get interested people into it are essential skills and attributes. Relevant qualifications are required*, but training can be given to the right person. Experience is beneficial.
Reliability, flexibility and conformity to our systems is expected and are vital elements to any role at Poseidon. Although preferably offered on a freelance basis, part time structures may be available for the right candidate.
*A BKSA instructor, RYA powerboat and first aid are required, crossover training can be arranged for IKO/VDWS certificate holders.
