We're stoked to see another great forecast for the last stop of our UK tour this weekend.
Blowing from the North West and backed by a small ground swell, we're heading West, hitting our favourite part of the North Devon coast - Croyde and Westward HO!
Lets not lie - it's going to be chilly, and now the clocks have changed the days will be short, but looking at 20 knots blowing cross shore from the right, with a waist - shoulder high surf, the weekend could be an epic mix of down the line wave riding and cross shore kicker hits.
Suitable for any kiters able to ride upwind and comfortable in waves and deep water.
Optimising time, we're going to leave Poole early Saturday morning. Head straight to Westward Ho! and get our session on. Saturday evening after kiting, we're going to take the drive up to the more happening village of Croyde, setting up camp then settling into The Thatch pub for the evening. Sunday morning we'll head back to Westward Ho! for a Sunday session before heading home late afternoon.
( EX39 1ED)
Westward Ho! has always been a hot spot for kiting, regularly featuring on the national competition and demo circuits because of its fun and varied conditions.
Similar to Saunton Sands, it sits just South of the estuary so offers a few sand bar options, and importantly for this weekend - works perfectly in West and North West winds.
You just need to make sure to get the tides right (low), as high tide can make for a heavy shore dump and little room for error.
Saturday: LW - 11.38 | HW - 5.58
Sunday: LW - 12.20 | HW - 6.41

Make sure to check in with Chris at the Poseidon van on arrival for a local knowledge site brief.
Follow directions to: Sandymere Beach Carpark, Westward Ho!, EX39 1ED.
Look for the beach car park, make sure to collect lunch provisions on the way through town as the car park will be pretty bare of services at this time of year.
