May trip - The Isle of Wight

Our first UK tour stop kicks off this weekend and it's looking like we're set to score some amazing wind..
Blowing north easterly, we're going to head to one of our favourite spots in the UK - The Isle of Wight.
Flat water, shallow lagoons and wide sandy beaches make this a perfect spot for all kiting levels, and we're excited to hit the water with everyone.

We're so amped about it being good that we've decided to hit the road early and be based there from Wednesday, running lessons, hire and riding. You're welcome to join us.

If you're interested in joining, have a read through the info below, check out the special offers we found and complete the contact form below.

The Plan

After a group catch up at Ryde Sands on Saturday from 9.30 to quickly chat plan, advice and safety, we'll aim to clock in 2 or 3 sessions a day, moving between spots to make the most of the tide.
We'll have advanced clinics running in the morning and afternoon with Ozone demo kites available throughout.
In the evening there's the option to chill with a BBQ, head to a local pub or go out out.
We're keeping things relaxed and won't be driving a movement, so pack food/cash and plan to roll with your own budget and tastes.

Getting there

By car
Wightlink offer 2 crossing routes which take around 45 minutes; Lymington-Yarmouth & Portsmouth-Fishbourne.
Departures are regular, number of people per vehicle is relaxed, vans & cars under 5m cost the same, but pre booking is required.
(Continue reading for package offers as booking direct costs around £100)

By foot
The wightlink Fast cat departs regularly direct from their terminal at the end of Portsmouth Harbour train station (near Gunwarf Quays carpark). The crossing takes around 15 minutes, booking is recommended and costs £19 for a day return or £25.60 for a period return.
We'll be offering a pick up at the Ryde Pier, simply aim to get in for a designated pick up time.

The Hover Travel hover craft runs regularly from Southsea (Portsmouth Seafront) to Ryde Sands. The crossing takes about 10 minutes and costs £22.50 return.

We can help pick up on the Island side with our Poseidon transportation.

Getting around the Island

We're likely to switch between 3 different beaches, the campsite and a couple of bars/shops, so transport will be essential on the Island.
For people coming by foot, we'll be able to run you around in our wagon, picking up from Ryde Pier / Hover travel daily at 9.30am, 2pm, 6pm and 9pm on friday

Book in for a Poseidon transport seat:

Camping
( PO33 1YA )

We'll be staying at the Nodes Point Campsite at St Helens, a short walk from the beach and overlooking Bembridge beach kite spot.
The campsite has set aside an area for the Poseidon group, you'll simply need to book yourself in before, whether you're traveling alone or being transported in our wagon with your own tent.
We've opted to set our area in the non-electric camping area, at a cost of £10 per night per pitch.
One pitch consists of either a vehicle or tent, you can book multiple pitches. Tents and camping equipment are not provided by Poseidon, please bring your own.
The camp site has a shop and bar onsite, it's also a short drive from Bembridge and Ryde town.
They're child and pet friendly.

Look for the Poseidon set up when you arrive and join us.
