What went down at the Spring Session

It'd be brave to suggest that summer has arrived already, but after this weekend we're warmed up and amped for all the water time heading our way.

It was a blessing for our Spring Session open day to fall on the hottest day of the year so far, and whilst there wasn't any breeze to make it onto the water kiting, beach vibes were amazing and we were stoked to host all the smiling faces.

With all the latest toys from Ozone on show and available to demo all day, we kicked things off at the beach with a safety refresher talk. Our seasoned new guy - Jordan took the floor and ran through a recap of some important things all kiters should know but often forget. Useful after a winter of kite hibernation followed by a sudden arrival of the sun.

Chris then invited riders to bring their own kit along to an equipment workshop where he ran through some basic maintenance and servicing techniques of boards, bars and kites. Covering some practical how to's, the group then gave each other's kit a once over, building confidence and knowing that it's all set for their next session.

Making the most of the light breeze Jordan, Neil and Darren then ran a taster session to a group of very excited newbies, all eager to feel what kiting is all about. The wind didn't allow the group to get in the water with inflatables, but that didn't stop the smiles from gleaming whilst throwing foils around the sky.

Of course the beach isn't all about kiting, so settling down in our beach lounge to soak up some sun we fired up the barbie, cracked open some beers and enjoyed having so many like minded people hanging until sundown.

From our end it was a beautiful start to the season, we'd like to thank everyone that made it down to join us. We'll keep you in the loop about future events and parties.
